1 CORINTHIAN 16: 1~4
16 1Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia,
even so do ye. 2Upon the first day of the week, let every one of you lay by him in store, as God
hath prospered him, that there be no collections when I come. 3And when I come, whomsoever ye shall approve by your letters, them will I send to bring your liberality to Jerusalem. 4And if it be proper that I should go also, they shall go with me
MESSAGE CONCEPT:
Said bible passage is just to explain the concept of camaraderie between Christian as the ultimate guide shared by Almighty God to us through his begotten son. This has to do to the primary commandments of Almighty God in the Old Testament, to set aside the one tenth of your harvested crops for your church or the so called tithes.
In Old Testament this tithes are included in the book of Moses or the so called Jewish book of Torah or the Mosaic Law, This are composed basically of five books namely, Geneses, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers & Deuteronomy, thus before bible was named this Old Testament are the books of Judaism the religion which teaches only the Holy Father which legendarily wrote by Moses.
In this Moses Books or the first five Books of Torah, explains the law of Almighty God and are said to be written by Moses under divine inspiration. Likewise other books of prophets and history of Kings teaches also the whole commandment of God under First Era. Prophet Malachi is the last prophet in Moses Era which explain the Almighty Gods Commandments regarding tithes, thus it is 100 years gap between Prophet Malachi and the Birth of Jesus Christ.
(Malachi 3:8~10) 8Will a man rob God? yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, In what have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. 9Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. 10Bring ye all the tithes into the store-house, that there may be food in my house, and prove me now with this, said the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
But in the New Testament , (John 1: 17) said .For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. (Galatians 2:16~17) 16Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we may be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. 17But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? By no means
(Romans 3:28) Therefore we conclude, that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. 31 Do we then make void the law through faith? By no means: but we establish the law.
What does Jesus Christ say, when he indoctrinate the neophytes Christians through the commandments of His Father? (Matthew 5:17~20) 17Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. 18For verily I say to you, Till heaven and earth shall pass away, one jot or one title shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19Whoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whoever shall do, and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20For I say to you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 23: 23 23Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint, and anise, and cumin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ye ought to have done, and not to leave the others undone.
Luke 11: 42 42But woe to you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint, and rue, and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the others undone 43Woe to you, Pharisees! for ye love the uppermost seats in the synagogues, and, greetings in the markets. 44Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are as graves which appear not and the men that walk over them are not aware of them
Luke 18:12~13 12I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. 13And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes to heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner 14I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalted himself shall be abased; and he that humbled himself shall be exalted.
Thus my brothers in Christ to serve God is complete if we serve the humanity, and we accept Lord Jesus as our savior wholeheartedly and to the best of our judgment , and to serve the government where we belong. Luke 20: 23~24 24Show me a penny. Whose image and superscription hath it? They answered and said, Cesar's. 25And he said to them, Render therefore to Cesar the things which are Cesar's, and to God the things which are God's
Almighty God does not look up how small or how big had offered to God, What important is as you offered; it accompanies the wholehearted mind and spirit as well. Luke 21 : 1~4 And he looked up, and saw rich men casting their gifts into the treasury. 2And he saw also a certain poor widow, casting in thither two mites. 3And he said, Of a truth I say to you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all. 4For all these have of their abundance cast in to the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.
That’s one very important thing in serving God that you strive to follow its commandments no matter what the humility would be for and in behalf of your love and strong belief to Jesus Christ. (2 Corinthian 9: 6~8 ) 6But this I say, He who sowed sparingly, shall reap also sparingly; and he who sowed bountifully, shall reap also bountifully. 7Every man according as he purposed in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or by constraint: for God loves a cheerful giver. 8And God is able to make all grace abound towards you; that ye always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.
(Lucas 6: 38,) 38Give, and it shall be given to you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye give to others, it shall be measured to you again. So My Brother in Christ Serve God Truthfully, do not look what others have done. Run towards the glory of salvation to insure an everlasting life. Amen.
